How We Took [Client’s Business Type] from [Starting Point] to [Result] in X Days — and Set Up a System for Ongoing Growth.

The Business
The Capital Seahawks are Maryland’s newest professional basketball team, founded by former Division I player Tayron Jackson and co-owner Vanessa Patterson. With a vision to inspire athletes on and off the court, the team embodies resilience, strength, and community spirit. More than basketball, the Seahawks are committed to creating opportunities for growth, financial literacy, and meaningful connections through sports.
They needed a website that could capture their mission, highlight their schedule, showcase their community involvement, and make it easy for fans to buy tickets and follow the team’s journey. The goal was clear: build a digital home that reflects their energy and ambition while engaging fans in every corner of the community.
The Challenge
The original site wasn’t doing the Seahawks justice. It looked outdated, wasn’t responsive across devices, and left fans struggling to find key information. The design didn’t reflect the energy of a professional team, and crucial features like ticket sales, results, and community initiatives were either missing or incomplete.
Here’s what wasn’t cutting it:
Poor design that didn’t match the brand’s professional image
Incomplete pages with missing sections for tickets and results
No mobile responsiveness, making it frustrating for fans on phones
Lack of clear structure or navigation for schedule and community updates
A weak foundation that couldn’t scale as the team grew
The Seahawks had the story, the vision, and the fans—what they needed was a website that could bring it all together.
The Discovery
We started with competitor analysis to see how other teams presented themselves online. This gave us a roadmap for layout, features, and content priorities. From there, we worked closely with the Seahawks to define what mattered most: engaging fans, selling tickets, and showcasing the team’s community focus.
Key steps included:
✅ Reviewing competitor sites and layouts for inspiration and gaps
✅ Mapping user journeys for ticket buying, schedule viewing, and updates
✅ Identifying missing elements like results pages and community sections
✅ Clarifying design goals: responsive, professional, and fan-friendly
This foundation ensured we weren’t just designing a site, we were building a platform to grow fan engagement.
The Build
We completely redesigned the Seahawks’ website from the ground up, focusing on responsiveness, clarity, and functionality. Every page was built to serve both the team’s mission and the fan experience. Ticket sales, game results, and a dedicated community team section were added, along with a polished homepage that showcases the Seahawks’ story and energy.
Key milestones included:
✅ Full redesign with a modern, responsive layout
✅ Ticket sales page with clear calls-to-action
✅ Results page to keep fans updated after every game
✅ Dedicated community section to highlight off-court initiatives
✅ Structured navigation for easy access to schedules and updates
✅ Final polish to ensure the site aligned with the team’s vision

The Growth Engine
For the Seahawks, this wasn’t just a facelift, it was the foundation for long-term digital growth. The new site ensures fans can connect with the team at every level: from buying tickets and checking results to learning about community initiatives.
We delivered a site that works as a true growth engine:

- Streamlined ticket sales flow to boost revenue opportunities
